Haitian pride on full display in Brooklyn celebration | PHOTOS

Overview:

On May 10, Life of Hope hosted a colorful and community-driven celebration in Brooklyn commemorating Haitian Heritage Month.

Haitian pride pulsed through the streets of Brooklyn on May 10 as the nonprofit Life of Hope celebrated Haitian Flag Day with a full day of cultural activities. The day started with a breakfast attended by elected officials, followed by a parade and a live music event featuring performances by Haitian bands.

Each moment, from the morning reflections to the rhythmic beats of konpa echoing through the streets of Nostrand Avenue, offered a powerful reminder of the Haitian diaspora’s deep roots and ongoing legacy in New York.
