AYR light wash wide-leg jeans – The Must, $157, down from $225
Jeans have not been top on my list of garments to wear since the pandemic started for two reasons: mine are currently unzippable, or they are too uncomfortable for all of the working from home and laying around on the couch I’ve been doing for nearly two years now.
However, The Must jeans from AYR (which stands for All Year Round) are my wardrobe’s single exception. They stretch generously (miraculously, really) to accommodate my recently-larger body, and they still manage somehow to look good.
The wonderful thing about AYR’s jeans is that they give the impression of having the structure of a no-stretch denim—the denim is weighty but still moves with you. It’s stretchy but substantial enough to smooth everything out. And, importantly, the fabric keeps its shape (i.e. no waist gap) even after several days of wear. I get compliments on them every time I wear them.

The good news is that AYR’s Must jeans are currently 30% off: $158 down from $225. The bad news is that they are final sale and it appears they may be discontinuing the style. So now is the time to pull the trigger if you want to get in on the comfiest and possibly most flattering jeans ever.
AYR launched online in 2014 as the women’s arm of Bonobos, but has since spun off as an independent shop. The brand eschews the traditional seasonal collection releases and instead regularly releases designs weekly, a practice many brands are finding makes more sense in today’s speedy internet culture.

AYR has also made it a practice to listen to what customers want. If you follow AYR on Instagram, you’ll often find question about what you want to see more and less of.
The jeans in question come in three shades: driftwood, deja vu, and Venus, and the sizes are still pretty well stocked, but that won’t last! AYR also has more 30% markdowns that are worth checking out including tops, comfy sets and sweaters that will fast become your wardrobe heroes.
