Ibiza has long been the destination of choice for sun-seeking party-goers, and nestled along the crystalline coast of Cala Xarraca Bay, Six Senses Ibiza opened their doors in the summer of 2021 and has been ushering in a new era of luxury on the island ever since.
This week, the luxury hotel added six new ocean front suites, a Latin-meets-Mediterennean inspired restaurant, recording studio and late-night lounge known collectively as The Beach Caves, and are once again transforming this northern stretch of Ibiza into a dreamy destination in its own right.
“The Beach Caves is a welcome addition to Six Senses Ibiza, and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the brand,” Beach Caves Creative Director Ben Pundole said. “It reflects the history, excitement, and eclectic spirit of the island.”
Among some of the cultural programming and activations guests can expect at The Beach Caves are an emphasis on art, music, and live performances, as well as a focus on environmental and community initiatives. The brand says they will also plan on introducing new partnerships with The Lonely Whale foundation and Project Zero in the coming year.
While ongoing cultural programming will be at the heart of Beach caves and open for hotel guests and locals alike, infusing a strong sense of community and local culture was integral in the overall concept.
Celebrating locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, the Beach Caves Restaurant and Terrace will infuse Latin American flavors inspired by Peru and Mexico. Overlooking Xarraca Bay, the menu will feature signature dishes with a focus on locally caught seafood paired with eclectic cocktails and a selection of natural, organic wines.
A centerpiece of The Beach Caves, The Xarraca Room will serve as an intimate nightlife venue that will offer arts and music programming. The small-scale venue will also play host to local and world-renowned DJs, artists, performers, and musicians and will be available for private parties of up to 150-guests.
Offering out-of-the-ordinary sense of escapism for travelers tot he island, the one-bedroom Cave Suites will feature a maximalist oversized bed and a large outdoor terrace directly overlooking the water while providing sweeping views of the bay.
The real piece de resistance when it comes to accommodations is The Cave Royale Suite which features a grand piano, full bar, and outdoor tub, as well as a secret door leading to the recording studio below.
“Through its unique design and extensive programming, we aim to create an incredible destination for both hotel guests and the local community to eat, drink, dance, shop, and sleep,” Pundole said.
