The push towards the NFL playoffs is in no-huddle mode, and some key contests in week 14 will determine playoff positioning for top teams in contention. That includes the Monday Night Football match-up between NFC West leaders Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams.
The Cardinals (10-2) are 4-0 SU/ATS vs NFC West opponents this season including a 17-point win over the Rams (8-4) in Los Angeles.
The Cardinals (28.6) and Rams (28.1) are both top-5 in scoring averaging just over 28 points per game. Arizona has scored 30 points or more in eight games.

Baltimore bettors and Ravens fans can now bet legally in Maryland. On Dec. 10, FanDuel Group and The Cordish Companies opened a FanDuel Sportsbook inside Sports & Social Maryland at Live! Casino & Hotel in the Baltimore/Washington corridor, signifying the first FanDuel sportsbook in the state. Maryland marks the 13th state where FanDuel offers retail sportsbook locations.
Ravens Hall of Famer Ed Reed opened the brand-new FanDuel Sportsbook at Sports & Social Maryland at 9:30 AM and took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony, placing a ceremonial first bet. Reed placed a $20 Moneyline wager on Dustin Poirier to win at UFC 269.
NFL Teams Taking Most Bets and Money in Week 14
The biggest games draw more betting action, but a sharp professional group bet big money early in the week on the Atlanta Falcons (+3). The betting line has dropped to +2.5 with the Carolina Panthers a short home favorite and taking 65% of the spread money heading into the weekend on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Monday Night’s match-up had a similar line move on the short road underdog with the same professional group betting on the LA Rams (+3). The line dropped to 2.5 and now Arizona is a 2-point favorite.
“We saw the same professional outfit come on a plus-3,“said FanDuel Sportsbook Director of Trading John Sheeran on the Bet the Board Podcast. “Both line moves on the underdogs we agree with.”
Yet 80% of the spread bets and money is on the Cardinals – most of any team in Week 14. The reverse line move against more public money and bets signifies sharper action on the underdog LA Rams.
Other teams taking the most bets and money (handle) on the point spread heading into the weekend include:
- Seattle Seahawks (-8.5) at Houston Texans – Seahawks 71% of bets and 78% money
- LA Chargers (-9.5) vs New York Giants – Chargers 68% of bets and 79% money
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.5) vs Buffalo Bills – Buccaneers 80% of bets and 73% of money
“We made this one under a field goal, and we’ll favor Buffalo heavily and take a decent and aggressive position on the Bills,” Sheeran said.
- Green Bay Packers (-12) vs Chicago Bears – Packers 73% of bets and 78% money
- Cincinnati Bengals (+1.5) vs San Francisco 49ers – Bengals 62% of bets and 55% money
“We made it -1 on the 49ers, so we agree with the line move,” Sheeran said after the Bengals opened as a 1-point favorite.
- Cleveland Browns (-2.5) vs Baltimore Ravens – Browns 45% of bets and 70% money
“We made the Browns -1.5, and we’ll see where the market goes,” Sheeran said before taking more Browns money and moving up to -2.5. The Ravens (8-4) hold a one game lead over the Bengals (7-5) in the AFC North. But Baltimore has failed to score at least 20 points in four straight games as they take on the rested and ready Browns (6-6) off their bye week having last played Nov. 28 in a 16-10 loss to the Ravens.
Dallas (8-4) and Washington (-6-6) have a key game in the NFC East, and the betting is more evenly split and slightly favoring the Cowboys on the road as a 4.5-point favorite. The Football Team has won four straight games to get into the NFC playoff picture, and Washington starts a closing-season stretch playing five straight division games.
Additional Week 14 prop bets will be popular, including player props on quarterbacks Kyler Murray and Matthew Stafford as the leading Super Bowl contenders Cardinals and Rams put on a show Monday Night.
