Marché de Noël in Haiti, Cap-Haïtien in pictures

A sequence of pictures from Marché de Noël, or Christmas Market, a two-day occasion held by media firm Sakapfèt Okap in Cap-Haïtien.

CAP-HAÏTIEN — As Lionel Benjamin, the legendary singer of Abdenwèl (Christmas Tree), as soon as put it: the sky appears to have one other colour throughout the vacation season. It was the case throughout the Marché de Noël, Creole for Christmas Market—a two-day occasion held this week by media firm Sakapfèt Okap, at Saint-Joseph Excessive College in Haiti’s second-largest metropolis.

From Dec. 23 to 24, kids ran, jumped and slid in bouncing homes whereas adults strolled previous dozens of stands arrange on the out of doors basketball courtroom. Entrepreneurs supplied a spread of things on the market, from shiny bracelets to liquor.
