By way of breathtaking performances, younger adults and youngsters showcased Haiti’s cultural heritage on the second version of the Pageant de l’Identité at Saint-Joseph Excessive Faculty in Cap-Haïtien on March 22. CAP-HAÏTIEN, Haiti — Loud cheers and applause echoed by way of the partitions of Saint-Joseph Excessive Faculty and spilled onto Road L on March 22. What triggered the eruption? A wide ranging celebration of Haiti’s tradition.
The second version of Pageant de L’Identité — a cultural showcase honoring Haiti’s heritage — was held at Saint-Joseph Excessive Faculty, that includes conventional dances, songs in Creole, poetry and extra. Performers wore blue, purple and gold folkloric costumes, with some adorned within the Haitian flag.
A whole lot of attendees, younger and outdated, linked with their roots as they watched the colourful shows of tradition at Pageant de L’Identité, French for “Identification Pageant.”
